As far back as I can remember, I have always loved style, hair, makeup and nails. My mother used to say, "I don't know where you get it from," as she only wore mascara and never colored her hair. Back before the days of YouTube, I used to read hairstyling magazines, watched the style network hair tutorials and practiced my styling techniques on my friends. I've been described as a 'natural' because hair styling came easy to me. I was the go to girl in high school for dance updos. I cut my friends hair without any technical training and I learned how to do extensions online. Yes, I have always had a natural ability, but it was up to me to work hard and cultivate it into a successful career. 

Despite always loving hair and beauty, I did not go to cosmetology school. I graduated from Salisbury University with a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature. I tampered in various careers from retail management, to loan officer, to personal trainer, but I still yearned to work behind the chair one day. Luckily, an opportunity to apprentice at a local salon arose and I jumped at it. I was finally deciding to pursue my dream of becoming a hairstylist at 27 years old. I soaked up every ounce of knowledge available and worked that much harder to make up for lost time. I apprenticed, learned on the job, built my clientele and passed my cosmetology exam on my own. My success is due largely from my desire to succeed, strong work ethic, and passion for hair. I can confidently say that my talent and skill far exceed my 12 years experience. I am constantly striving to be a better stylist and learn new techniques by attending a multitude of classes, hair shows, and online courses. I specialize in blonde haircolor, textured bobs, long layers, shags, and pixies.

Beautiful hair is my life; there is nothing more fulfilling than turning my client’s chair around and seeing her face light up at her hair transformation. I truly believe, if you look and feel beautiful on the outside, it makes you confident and happy on the inside. I’m just trying to spread happiness, one beautiful, head of hair at a time.
